KAZAKHSTANI PREMIERE OF THE "BAIKONUR" MOVIE

On December 8, 2011 Kazakhstani premiere of the “Baikonur” movie, shot by the German film director Veit Helmer, took place in Almaty. The motion picture tells a story of a capsule with a French space tourist falling to the Kazakh steppe that changes, thus, the life of a small village, as well as the life of a local radio operator nicknamed Gagarin, who fell in love with a beautiful Frenchwoman.

In 2009, at the stage of preparatory works, the team of Karaganda EcoMuseum helped the film director in locality investigation and research of such an interesting phenomenon of the local life as collecting space debris.
